My Review –

As you can from the list above, Jojoba Oil has many uses. My favorite way to use this product is to make a Vanilla Sugar Scrub. With my love of vanilla, when I saw the recipe on Amazon, I knew I had to try it. The scrub is wonderful. Although I didn’t try another fragrance, I’m sure your favorite would work just as well as the oil has no smell.

I took my favorite body lotion and added a little of the oil, which ended up making my favorite lotion even better. I haven’t yet tried the oil on my hair, but I am definitely thinking about trying it. The oil has worked wonders in the uses that I have already tried and I am sure it will be great on my hair.

I can definitely recommend Jojoba Oil, especially if you are into making your own body products. As I mentioned, there is no smell making it a great prime ingredient. Jojoba Oil comes in a glass bottle and is packaged in a protective box.

Decadent DIY Vanilla Sugar Scrub

As if jojoba oil wasn’t already like a love note to dry or winter skin, this 3-ingredient scrub seals the deal. Use it on your face, lips, hands, feet, or for head-to-toe TLC. Combine 1 cup of brown sugar, a ½ cup of Viva Naturals Organic Jojoba Oil, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Or create a cinnamon scrub by swapping the vanilla with 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Store it in an airtight container.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is your jojoba oil food grade?

A: Yes and no. Our jojoba oil is 100% food grade, however, because it’s a luxury oil, it’s best suited for beauty and hair care, where it can be used sparingly. Using it in place of a cooking oil in a recipe would not be economical.

Q: What is the difference between golden jojoba oil and refined jojoba oil?

A: Our golden jojoba oil is in its purest form- unrefined, unbleached and 100% pure. Refined jojoba oils are bleached to strip away color and jojoba’s nutty aroma, while removing the seeds’ vitamins and essential fatty acids.

Q: What is the shelf-life of organic jojoba oil?

A: Generally once oils have been opened, they have a shelf-life of 2 years. Depending on storage conditions, jojoba oil may be stored for up to 5 years.
