Quotes in Polkadots, The words I kept in mind to change my life by Rula Abdo – Review

Brief but deep, you can only take your time absorbing the essence of a quote to get its full story. Those mini stories are what you need to know that you’re not alone, and that someone else had been there, done that, and found a light that might as well brighten up your way. Having read hundreds of quotes that inspired me, I’ve always had a couple of my own in the back of my head. I kept them there on repeat throughout my journey to creating myself, following my dreams, and conquering my fears. And they worked! That’s why I thought I’d share them with you. Because life is really too short to not get inspired, to not share its beauty, to live in the dark, to drown in negativity, and to not be able to love yourself and live to your potential. Each quote is based on a true story, a lesson learned, and a life changing experience. But what is even more special about these words, is that everyone can relate to them… So feel free to take this journey and make it your own!

Review –

I don’t remember how I came across this book, but I really enjoyed it. It was different from what I was expecting. It is a book of quotes that helped the author get through some rough times if the table of contents is correct.

The book is broken down into different categories – Time to Move On, Stay Strong, The Things That Matter, On the Bright Side, and What Dreams are made of.

In the introduction, the author calls the quotes mini stories and she is correct. If you take the time to read the quote and ponder on it a while, you will come to a deeper understanding of the meaning. I had never thought of quotes quite like this before and, in truth, quotes have been forever changed for me.

Life comes in packs of good and bad mixed together. You can’t choose which ones to open, but you can decide which one to close.

This is the first quote in the book, your first mini story. Enjoy!

The book in itself is quite different from other quote books that I have picked up to read. Each page is polka dots! Each chapter a different colored background. The quote is in a white circle in the center of the page – a true mini story as the author refers to the quotes. The colors are soothing and invite thought.

I hope you purchase this book and enjoy it the way I did and plan to again in the future.
